How to get to Tairua and maps of the vicinity

Tairua is situated 51km from Thames across State Highway 25a which is fully sealed and crosses the Kirikiri Saddle (424m).

From Auckland

From Auckland take Sate Highway (SH) 1 on the Southern Motorway to Bombay, turn left onto SH2 and follow the signs to Thames via SH25.

Just after crossing on a long, traffic light controlled one way bridge, you reach Kopu. Turn right following the signs to Tairua, you cant miss it.
